These iconic Italian designer lamps combine sculptural mushroom-shaped silhouettes with the timeless elegance of opaline glass and an additional circular base that enhances their proportions and stability.

Please note: The listed price is for the set of TWO lamps, not for one individual lamp.

Featuring beautifully rounded opaline glass shades, cylindrical glass bodies and transparent crystal-glass rims, these lamps create a warm, atmospheric glow. Their distinctive silhouettes are complemented by additional circular bases, giving each lamp a more substantial foundation and a refined, architectural profile.

The Onfale collection is one of Artemide’s enduring lighting classics, celebrated for its minimalist form, refined materials and exceptional Italian glassmaking tradition.

A Special Base – A Distinctive Design Detail

Both lamps feature an additional circular base beneath the cylindrical glass body.

The broad, flat bases create a layered, architectural silhouette, visually grounding each lamp and giving it a more substantial presence. They also provide a wider supporting footprint for improved stability.

This additional base distinguishes these examples from the standard Onfale Piccolo form, introducing a subtle platform-like element that complements the rounded shade and cylindrical body.

Together, the two lamps create a harmonious pair, ideal for symmetrical placement on bedside tables, matching sideboards or either side of a sofa or console.

Murano Glass Craftsmanship

The Onfale lamps are renowned for their opaline glass construction and soft, diffused illumination.

The glass features a layered structure, with an opaque white central layer enclosed by transparent glass. This construction allows the lamps to emit a beautifully even glow while retaining the depth and luminosity characteristic of fine glass lighting.

The lower edge of each domed shade is finished with a transparent crystal-glass rim, creating a delicate contrast with the white opaline glass.
