A striking and highly collectible Arrben Canasta armchair, produced in Italy during the 1980s.
The Canasta is known for its distinctive sculptural cantilever construction, elegant tubular metal frame and beautifully curved leather upholstery. This example combines a polished chrome-plated steel frame with high-quality black genuine leather, creating a sophisticated Italian Modernist aesthetic.
The floating seat and continuous curved frame give the chair a remarkably light and architectural appearance, while the generously curved armrests and backrest provide excellent comfort.
A fantastic statement piece for a Mid-Century Modern, Bauhaus, Italian Modernist, Postmodern or minimalist interior. It works beautifully as a dining chair, desk chair, lounge chair or accent chair.
