A striking and highly distinctive IKEA Pixi lounge chair, designed by Gillis Lundgren for IKEA in Sweden during the 1970s. This chair is an excellent example of Scandinavian vintage design, combining a relaxed, generously padded silhouette with a minimalist tubular chrome frame.
The chair features its original brown synthetic leather / upholstery, finished with a distinctive embossed textured pattern resembling a fine woven or reptile-scale surface. The patterned upholstery gives the chair an unusual tactile quality and enhances its strong 1970s character.
The deep, sculptural cushions create a comfortable lounge position, while the elegant chrome-plated tubular steel cantilever frame gives the chair a light, floating appearance.

Condition
Great vintage condition. The upholstery is clean and well preserved, with the original textured surface clearly visible. The chrome frame is also in very good condition. As with any authentic vintage piece from the 1970s, there may be minor signs of age consistent with its history, but overall the chair presents beautifully and is ready for everyday use.
A particularly attractive piece for a mid-century modern, Scandinavian, 1970s or vintage interior, and a great addition to a collection of original IKEA design classics.
