Mid century Italian Space Age Coat Rack - Umbrella Stand by Cazzaro, 1970s Italy

Vintage Italian Space Age Coat Rack & Umbrella Stand by Cazzaro, 1970s Chrome Metal Hall Tree, Mid-Century Modern Entryway Furniture

An exceptional and highly distinctive Italian Space Age coat rack with integrated umbrella stand, manufactured by Cazzaro in Italy during the 1970s.

This sculptural hall stand is a wonderful example of Italian futuristic design from the 1970s, combining striking geometric forms, contrasting materials and refined chrome details.

The piece features a tall central column in brown lacquered metal, complemented by polished chrome-plated tubular elements, smoked translucent coat hooks and contrasting black plastic details. The upper section showcases an eye-catching circular arrangement of multiple hooks around the central chrome structure, creating a dynamic architectural silhouette while providing generous hanging space for coats, jackets and hats.

The lower section incorporates a practical four-position umbrella holder with a removable black drip tray, making this piece as functional as it is decorative. The beautifully constructed tubular chrome base echoes the geometric design of the upper section, giving the entire composition a balanced and unmistakably Space Age appearance.

The combination of warm brown lacquer, reflective polished chrome and smoked translucent elements creates a particularly attractive contrast, making this hall stand a striking statement piece for contemporary, Mid-Century Modern, Space Age and Postmodern interiors.

Several components retain their original Cazzaro manufacturer markings, confirming its Italian manufacturer.

The chrome-plated elements have been carefully repolished, restoring their beautiful reflective finish. A distinctive and increasingly collectible example of 1970s Italian design.
