Rare original Thonet “Flex” chairs designed by Gerd Lange and produced in West Germany during the 1970s.
A striking example of late Mid-Century German furniture design, this Flex chair combines a sculptural black molded plastic shell with a warm beechwood frame. The model was recognized with the “Gute Form” award in 1969.
This set features the characteristic organically shaped seat and back shell, paired with cognac striped fabric upholstery. The subtle tone works beautifully with the warm honey-coloured beechwood and black frame, giving the chairs a distinctive and sophisticated vintage appearance.
The chairs are in very good vintage condition, with minor age-related signs of use consistent with their age. Small traces of wear to the wooden frames and upholstery may be present and contribute to their authentic vintage character.
