A beautiful and highly recognizable mid-century Norwegian lounge chair, designed by Ingmar Relling and produced by Westnofa (Westnofa Møbelfabrikk), Norway, dating from the 1970s.
The chair showcases the characteristic Scandinavian Modern approach of combining ergonomic comfort, sculptural form and carefully crafted materials. The relaxed sling-style construction is supported by an elegant dark-stained bentwood frame with an X-shaped scissor base, creating a light yet distinctive architectural silhouette.
The generous brown leather cushions feature deep, decorative button tufting across the seat and backrest. The segmented upholstery gives the chair a luxurious, inviting appearance while emphasizing its sculptural shape.
