A beautiful set of four matching mid-century modern cantilever dining chairs, dating from the 1980s and made in Germany.
These chairs showcase the unmistakable Bauhaus-inspired tubular steel aesthetic, combining a sculptural cantilever construction with clean geometric lines and a beautifully restrained material palette. The continuous chrome-plated tubular steel frames create an elegant floating appearance, while the flexible cantilever structure provides comfortable movement when seated.
The chairs are upholstered in a warm mustard-yellow fabric, a characteristic colour of late 1970s and 1980s interiors. The rich mustard tone contrasts beautifully with the highly polished chrome and gives the set a distinctive vintage character without becoming visually heavy.
The gently curved backrests and generously proportioned seats follow the body’s shape, while the open frame keeps the overall design light and architectural.
