A beautiful and authentic Cassina LC2 armchair, designed by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand, the iconic 2 Fauteuil Grand Confort, petit modèle.
This particular example features a striking red patterned leather upholstery combined with the characteristic dark painted tubular steel frame. The upholstery has a subtle tonal, abstract textured pattern, visible across the seat and back cushions, giving the chair an especially distinctive vintage appearance.
The LC2 is one of the most recognizable designs of 20th-century modern furniture. Its architectural construction separates the tubular steel structure from the individual upholstered cushions, creating the characteristic geometric silhouette of the model. Cassina describes this separation of structure and upholstery as an expression of the Rationalist design approach behind the piece.

Condition
Very good vintage condition.
The chair is structurally sound and complete. The red upholstery presents beautifully, with its original-looking tonal patterned surface clearly visible in the photographs. The dark tubular frame is also in good vintage condition with some minor signs of age and use.
