A striking 1970s Trega lounge chair, designed by Tormod Alnaes in Norway.
With its characteristic suspended canvas construction, sculptural metal frame and natural leather details, the Trega is an excellent example of Norwegian Mid-Century Modern design.
This version features a natural beige canvas seat holder with an eye-catching multicolor zigzag-patterned fabric cushion. The textile combines subtle shades of cream, red, green, blue, brown and grey, creating a distinctive retro appearance that perfectly captures the character of 1970s Scandinavian interiors.
The combination of canvas, leather and chrome-plated metal gives the chair a particularly interesting mix of textures and materials. The relaxed, low-slung proportions make it ideal as a lounge chair for a living room, reading corner, bedroom or design-focused interior.
