Rare Set of 4 Italian Mid-Century Dining Chairs by Gastone Rinaldi for Rima, 1970s – Cream Leather & Chrome
A rare and elegant set of four Italian dining chairs designed by Gastone Rinaldi for Rima, Italy, during the 1970s.
These striking chairs are an excellent example of Italian furniture design from the period, combining sculptural chrome-plated tubular steel frames with beautifully shaped seats and backrests upholstered in soft cream-coloured leather.
The distinctive cantilever-inspired construction creates a light, architectural appearance, while the polished chrome frames provide a beautiful contrast to the warm, understated tone of the leather upholstery. Their elegant proportions and distinctive silhouette make them equally suitable for a sophisticated dining room, a contemporary interior or an eclectic mid-century setting.
The chairs feature beautifully curved tubular steel frames with an eye-catching continuous base construction, demonstrating the refined craftsmanship and innovative design language associated with Italian furniture of the 1970s.
A particularly rare and desirable set, offering both sculptural design and everyday functionality.
