Beautiful set of 4 vintage Tecta D41 cantilever chairs, manufactured by Tecta in Germany during the 1980s.
These iconic cantilever chairs are inspired by the D41 design associated with Marcel Breuer and the Bauhaus movement. They perfectly represent the Bauhaus philosophy of combining functionality, innovative construction and clean, architectural forms.
The chairs feature elegant chrome-plated tubular steel sled bases with a characteristic cantilever construction. The seat and backrest are made from woven synthetic wicker, forming one continuous, gently curved shell. The combination of the lightweight woven structure and polished chrome frame creates a distinctive and timeless appearance.
Tecta is one of Germany’s most renowned manufacturers of Bauhaus furniture and has a long history of producing licensed and authentic interpretations of important Bauhaus designs.
This set works beautifully around a dining table, in a conference room, office, studio or sophisticated mid-century interior.
