Jørgen Rasmussen, born in 1931, is a Danish designer and artist known for redefining functionality. Rasmussen attended the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and, together with his twin brother, founded a design studio in 1957, where the two primarily created designs for residential buildings. In the 1960s, Jørgen Rasmussen and his brother began designing chairs for KEVI A/S, which became known as KEVI chairs. The multi-purpose chair has been celebrated for its uncompromising comfort while maintaining durability and functionality. Rasmussen later invented the innovative and iconic double castor, which is used on almost all Danish work chairs. 1960s for Knoll.
