1 of 3 S70 bar chairs by Lindau & Lindekrantz for Lammhults, Sweden 1960s
The S70 chair was manufactured by Lammhults, a well-known Swedish manufacturer . The chair was designed by Börge Lindau and Bo Lindekrantz and is perhaps the manufacturer's most well-known piece to date. Launched in 1968,
the S70 was presented as part of a much more extensive series of items such as ashtrays, coat hangers, tables and chairs. The cheeky-looking shape is characterized, among other things, by its simple, anthropomorphic legs, which are made from a continuous piece of thick steel tubing. A wooden seat is attached underneath, providing structural integrity while also strengthening the two legs.
