Midcentury "Planta" brown plastic coat rack. This Italian item was designed by Giancarlo Piretti for Anonima Castelli in 1972.
This piece is unique as made of brown ABS and features six folding hooks, the coat and umbrella hooks (bottom) fold up and tuck neatly into the main body of the coat rack.
There is room for at least 12 jackets and two umbrellas too. This item is marked: Mod. Planta, Anonima Castelli, Bologna and by the Italian designer G.C. Piretti. The name of the item, the production and the designer are engraved below the base of the item.
