Iconic Space age Finnish Tomato Chair in Green by Eero Aarnio for Adelta 1970s
Tomato is historical chair designed by the genius Eero Aarnio, for Adelta in 1971.
The original name of this seat, Tomato, follows his look. Aarnio plays with round shapes: a combination of three circle of the same size, two of which are the arms, the third is dug to obtain a comfortable and cozy backrest.
Eero Aarnio has always been drawn to the circular shape and is perhaps best known for his "no edges" designs. The Tomato chair is one of his best designs, it combines three circles on a simple seat, with two serving as armrests and one designed as a comfortable backrest. It is made of fiberglass and is therefore also suitable for outdoor use. Tomato was designed by Eero Aarnio in 1971.
Material :Fibreglass, Gelcoat finish.
Condition: it’s in very good vintage condition has some sign of wears over the years of use.
