Mid century Bauhaus Spoleto black chair for Knoll by Ufficio Tecnico 1970s

Ufficio Tecnico, Knoll’s own team of engineers and designers, created this cantilevered tubular metal chair in 1971 and called it the Spoleto.

The Bauhaus inspired chairs are upholstered in thick cowhide leather with strings on the back.

Winner of multiple period design awards, as a more functional version of earlier Mies, Stam and Breuer designs.
