German-born designer Werner Biermann settled in Colombia in the 1930s and founded a furniture factory that brought European and Scandinavian styles to South America.
These rare Colombian low seat armchairs circa 1970 by Biermann from the Collection'S "Artesano" (meaning "handmade") have a natural wood and thick leather frame on a thin metal frame stitched with beautiful cross stitches.
general condition is original, firm, stable and good, consistent with age and use.
