Mid-Century Green Retro Lounge Chair — Swivel Velvet Armchair, Germany, 1980s
A beautiful 1980s German retro lounge chair with a distinctive sculptural shape, original green velvet upholstery and an elegant chrome star base.
The chair features a deep, generously padded seat and high wraparound backrest, creating a cocoon-like form that provides excellent comfort and support. Its softly rounded silhouette and carefully shaped upholstery give it a strong retro character while keeping the overall design elegant and timeless.
The original green velvet fabric has a beautiful textured appearance and remains clean and well preserved. The upholstery is complemented by a polished chrome five-star base, adding a light modernist contrast to the substantial upholstered body.
The chair is fully swivel, making it practical as well as visually striking. Its compact footprint makes it ideal for a living room, reading corner, bedroom, office or stylish lounge area.
A great statement piece for Mid-Century Modern, 1970s/1980s Retro, Space Age, Postmodern, Italian-inspired or eclectic interiors.
