A beautiful and increasingly sought-after IKEA PS Hjältön lounge chair, designed by renowned British designer James Irvine for IKEA and produced in the 2000s.
This striking lounge chair combines a generous, sculptural handwoven rattan seat shell with an elegant minimalist metal frame. The organic shape of the rattan contrasts beautifully with the slender tubular steel base, creating a distinctive balance between natural materials and industrial modernism.
The generously proportioned woven shell forms both the seat and backrest in one continuous flowing shape. Its gently curved profile provides a relaxed and comfortable sitting position while giving the chair its characteristic sculptural appearance.
