Mid-Century Modern Fibreglass Coffee Table – 1970s Space Age Design
A rare Italian Mid-Century Modern coffee table dating from the 1970s, showcasing the sculptural elegance and futuristic aesthetic of Space Age design.
Crafted from a single piece of reinforced fibreglass, this striking table features a distinctive cantilevered silhouette, softly rounded edges and an elegant, fluid profile. Its square tabletop flows seamlessly into the integrated side supports, creating a minimalist, architectural form that feels both sculptural and understated.
The warm ivory-white finish enhances its clean lines and organic shape, allowing the table to complement a wide range of interiors. Whether styled in a minimalist living space, a contemporary apartment or an eclectic interior filled with vintage design classics, this piece makes a subtle yet distinctive statement.
Its generous square surface and low profile make it ideal as a living room coffee table, while its lightweight visual appearance prevents it from overwhelming the surrounding space. A beautiful example of 1970s Italian modern design, combining functional simplicity with sculptural character.
