The S64 Armchair features a bent solid beech wood frame with an elegant wickerwork seat and backrest, combining timeless aesthetics with comfort and craftsmanship. It is marked with the Thonet stamp underneath (Thonet 79), confirming its original German production from the 1970s.
Marcel Breuer, who led the Bauhaus carpentry workshop (1925–1928), pioneered the use of tubular steel in furniture. His innovative approach shaped the future of modern design and continues to inspire today.
This chair is in very good vintage condition, showing a beautiful, natural patina consistent with age — a true collector’s piece that brings Bauhaus elegance to any interior.
