Mid century Siesta Coffee Table by Ingmar Relling for Westnofa, Norway 1960s

Mid-Century Modern Siesta Coffee Table by Ingmar Relling for Westnofa, Norway, 1960s

A beautiful example of Scandinavian mid-century modern design, this distinctive Siesta coffee table combines sculptural wooden craftsmanship with the lightness and elegance of a round glass top.

Designed by Ingmar Relling and attributed to Westnofa, Norway, this striking vintage table embodies the refined simplicity and organic forms that made Scandinavian furniture design internationally admired during the 1960s.

Its defining feature is the sculptural four-star base, crafted from black glazed wood. Four elegantly curved supports meet at the centre before extending outward to create a dynamic, architectural silhouette. The transparent round glass tabletop highlights the beautiful geometry of the base, allowing the design to remain visually light and open.

The combination of dark wood and clear glass creates a timeless contrast, making this table equally suited to a mid-century modern living room, a contemporary interior or a carefully curated vintage furniture collection.
