A beautiful original Siesta Lounge Chair, designed by the renowned Norwegian designer Ingmar Relling in the 1960s and produced by Westnofa Furniture, Norway.
The Siesta is one of the most iconic examples of Scandinavian mid-century design, combining a sculptural laminated beech frame with a flexible construction and exceptional seating comfort. Its elegant proportions, organic curves and minimalist expression make it a timeless piece that works beautifully in both private interiors and sophisticated commercial spaces.
The chair is constructed with a beautifully curved and laminated wooden frame and a flexible stretched canvas/leather seating structure, creating the characteristic comfortable “floating” feeling of the Siesta.
The Siesta also has an interesting connection to American history: chairs from this model were used in the White House during the administration of President Jimmy Carter.

This chair is in very good vintage condition.
