This sculptural “Hadi” writing desk, designed by visionary German designer Ernest H. Igl, was produced by Hadi of Bad Salzuflen in collaboration with Bayer AG, Leverkusen, around 1970–1971.
The desk is an exceptional example of the futuristic design language of the period, combining an organic, molded silhouette with innovative industrial materials. Its striking silver-grey Novodur polyurethane structure, black details and integrated lighting give it a distinctly futuristic character that still feels highly contemporary today.

Excellent vintage condition.
The structural Novodur plastic remains sturdy and presents very well, with no major cracks or structural damage.
As expected from an original piece from the early 1970s, there may be minor age-related cosmetic imperfections such as superficial surface wear, faint abrasions or traces of previous use. These are consistent with the age of the piece and contribute to its authentic vintage character.
The original integrated overhead lamp is fully operational, and the storage drawers pivot smoothly.
Original manufacturing or identification stamps may be present underneath the structure.
