A rare and highly collectible Axis 3000 two-seater bench with integrated side table, designed by renowned Italian designer Giancarlo Piretti for Anonima Castelli, Italy.
This elegant modular seating system is a wonderful example of Italian Mid-Century Modern and Space Age contract design, combining clean geometric lines, ergonomic seating and an innovative modular construction.
The configuration features two individual seats with a practical integrated side table, supported by the characteristic Axis 3000 horizontal beam. The sculptural seat and back forms appear almost suspended between the polished metal supports, giving the bench a remarkably light and architectural appearance.
The seating retains its original grey retro fabric upholstery, featuring a fine woven texture with subtle blue detailing. The combination of the grey textile, white structural elements and polished chrome/metal supports creates a sophisticated 1960s–1970s Italian aesthetic.
