Rare original set of two Mid-Century Space Age nightstands designed by Peter Ghyczy for Horn Collection, Germany, in the 1970s.

A striking example of German Space Age design, this exceptional pair combines a sculptural, minimalist form with highly practical storage. Each nightstand features a painted purple wooden body, beautifully contrasted by the futuristic chrome recessed handles and four chrome castor wheels.

The strong geometric silhouette, rounded edges and mobile construction reflect Peter Ghyczy’s distinctive approach to 1970s furniture design, where functionality was combined with innovative forms and a distinctly futuristic aesthetic.

Each cabinet is equipped with three smooth-running drawers, providing generous and convenient bedside storage. The four chrome wheels allow the nightstands to be moved easily while adding to their authentic Space Age character.
