A striking and highly unusual piece of German Space Age design, this original Theobald Utensilo combines bold orange cylindrical containers with a polished chrome central structure and a substantial black metal base.
The design is both sculptural and functional. The three orange cylindrical containers can be individually moved and positioned around the central pole, allowing the arrangement to be changed according to how the piece is being used. Once positioned, the containers can be secured with the chrome fastening mechanism at the top.
With its vivid orange color, rounded forms, chrome details and strong geometric construction, the Utensilo has a distinctive 1970s Space Age aesthetic and makes an impressive statement piece even when not in use.
