A striking vintage IKEA SALMI dining table, designed in the late 1990s by Carl Öjerstam, Carin Martin and Magnus Elebäck for IKEA. The SALMI series is known for its clean Scandinavian aesthetic, combining a minimalist geometric structure with a light, almost floating appearance.
The table features a beautiful round smoked glass tabletop supported by a slim chrome-plated metal frame and four elegant tapered legs. The circular chrome ring beneath the glass creates a strong geometric detail while keeping the overall design visually light and open.
Its combination of smoked glass, polished chrome and simple sculptural lines gives it a distinctive late-1990s Scandinavian character that works particularly well in Mid-Century Modern, Space Age, minimalist or contemporary interiors.
The SALMI table was produced by IKEA during the 1990s and was listed at approximately 73 cm high, consistent with the dimensions of this example.

The table remains in its original condition with the original IKEA stamp/marking.
The smoked glass is in good vintage condition. The chrome frame is generally well preserved, with some visible small area of rust on the chrome, consistent with age and use. Please see the photographs carefully for the condition and details.
