Set of 2 Marcel Breuer Bauhaus Cantilever D40 Chais By Tecta 1960s
Representative BAUHAUS cantilever chair D40 / B55 - by Marcel Breuer (1902-1981) - here made by the company TECTA - construction made of nickel-plated tubular steel with black fabric covering.
The design, created in 1928/29, was initially taken up by the Gebrüder Thonet company in Frankenberg under the model name - B55. Later, the company TECTA from Lauenförde took over the authorized production of the armchair without back legs under the BAUHAUS logo.
Condition:
The cantilever chair is in a well-maintained condition, with only minor signs of wear. extremely strong and stable - all seams are in order.
The metal surface has a slightly yellowish, matt appearance, as is typical of nickel-plated steel parts - without rust or chips.
