Beautiful cantilever chair, model "B55" by Marcel Breuer (1902 - 1981). The German-American architect, of Austro-Hungarian origin, taught and taught at the Bauhaus in Dessau. Breuer is considered the inventor of the modern steel pipe. Draft approx. 1930. Unknown origin. Very high quality workmanship. Chrome-plated steel tube, seat and back made of robust textile. Armrests made of solid wood, black lacquered. Welded and sanded pipe ends. Good general condition. Chrome plating flawlessly. Armrests with a few colors. Textile parts with excellent substance, but in places significantly faded. Seat height 45cm.
