Mid-Century Bauhaus B34 Cantilever Chairs by Mart Stam for Linea Fiam, Italy, 1980s — Set of 2

A sophisticated set of two iconic B34 cantilever chairs, inspired by the pioneering tubular-steel furniture designs developed by Mart Stam in the 1920s and later produced in Italy by Linea Fiam.

The B34 is celebrated for its distinctive cantilever construction, architectural silhouette, and elegant combination of chrome-plated steel and leather. This Italian version features beautifully crafted black saddle leather upholstery and leather-wrapped armrests, creating a refined contrast against the polished chrome frame.

The result is a timeless and highly versatile pair that works exceptionally well in Mid-Century Modern, Bauhaus, Minimalist, Industrial, and Contemporary interiors.

Each chair is stamped on the rear side of the backrest with the original Linea Fiam marking, providing an important indication of its original manufacture.

CONDITION

The chairs are in very good vintage condition.

The chromed steel frames retain a beautiful shine and show only minor signs of age and use. The original black leather upholstery is well preserved, with some natural signs of age and use consistent with their vintage character. Please refer to the photographs for the detailed condition.
