Rare Set of 2 Mario Bellini Modular Lounge Chairs for Roche Bobois, 1970s Italy – Space Age Fiberglass & Black Corduroy

Exceptional original pair of 1970s Italian Space Age modular lounge chairs, designed by Mario Bellini for Roche Bobois.

This rare set combines sculptural white molded fiberglass shells/bases with luxurious original black corduroy upholstery. The organic, rounded forms and generous proportions are characteristic of Bellini’s iconic approach to modular seating, creating a striking combination of futuristic Space Age design and exceptional comfort.

Each module features a beautifully curved silhouette, deep relaxed seating and four elegant chrome feet, giving the substantial fiberglass form a sophisticated floating appearance.

The chairs are extremely comfortable and remain in very good, clean original vintage condition, with no significant damage or structural issues.

What makes this offering especially unusual is that we currently have 6 matching original modular pieces available in total.

The modules can be used individually, arranged as pairs, or combined to create a spectacular large sectional sofa. This allows you to create different configurations depending on your interior and available space.
