An exceptional set of eight “Korium” KM1 armchairs, designed by the renowned Italian architect and designer Tito Agnoli and produced by Matteo Grassi in Italy during the late 1970s. This iconic model is a refined example of Italian Mid-Century Modern design, combining architectural precision with luxurious materials and outstanding comfort.
Designed in 1978, the Korium series embodies Agnoli’s distinctive approach to form and function. Having worked closely with Gio Ponti at the Politecnico di Milano, Agnoli developed a design language that merges elegance, innovation, and practicality — all of which are clearly expressed in this model.
Each chair is constructed with a solid internal metal frame and upholstered in high-quality black saddle leather, a hallmark of Matteo Grassi’s craftsmanship. The clean lines, sculptural armrests, and beautifully aged leather give these chairs a timeless presence, making them ideal for both dining and statement seating.
As this model is no longer in production, it has become increasingly sought after by collectors and design enthusiasts alike.
