A striking set of four vintage Vinga Tulip dining chairs from Germany, dating to the 1970s, combining the futuristic aesthetic of Space Age design with a rich, contemporary colour palette.
These distinctive chairs feature elegant white tulip-style pedestal bases and beautifully sculpted upholstered seats with gently curved backrests. Their clean, fluid silhouettes and central column supports create a light, architectural appearance, reflecting the optimistic, forward-looking spirit of 1970s furniture design.
The standout feature is the deep burgundy corduroy upholstery. The fine, raised ribs of the fabric add tactile texture and visual depth, while the rich wine-red colour creates a sophisticated contrast against the crisp white bases. Depending on the light and viewing angle, the corduroy reveals subtle variations in tone, giving the chairs an inviting, luxurious appearance.
The removable, washable fabric covers offer practical advantages for everyday use, making this set as functional as it is visually distinctive.
Perfect around a dining table, these chairs also work beautifully in a modern kitchen, creative studio, or eclectic interior. Their sculptural pedestal bases and expressive upholstery make them an excellent choice for lovers of vintage Space Age furniture, mid-century modern design, and distinctive European interiors.
Offered as a complete set of four, they create a cohesive and eye-catching dining arrangement.
